When it comes to bicycling, women account for only 24% of all trips made by bicycle. It doesn’t have to be this way. This class will provide a safe space for anyone who identifies as a woman to learn how to bicycle safely and with confidence. The class will be held in Tower Grove Park at a quiet roundabout on the West side of the park.
What will we be covering?
Signaling and turning
Taking the lane
How to change gears
How to build confidence on the road and in the bike shop
A portion of the class registration money will be donated to The Monthly Cycle - a local organization who work to advocate and promote women's cycling.
Spoked Bikes will be providing safety checks before the class to make sure that your bike is in good working order. This will also be a great opportunity to have any technical questions answered.
